The Journal of Australian Ceramics | Vol 64 No.1 | April 2025

Sale price$20.00 AUD

The Journal of Australian Ceramics (JAC), Australia's most widely read tri-annual contemporary ceramics magazine, is a valuable resource for professional and amateur ceramicists, students, galleries, arts administrators, curators, buyers and passionate collectors.

From the Editors Montessa Maack & Alison Smiles:
Often when we discover a story behind a favourite artwork, it provides a conduit between us and the person or people behind the object. In this issue we have stories of resilience, travel, career achievements, and inquiry into the complex layered existence of clay in the material human world, as well as instances of the past reaching us here in the present.

In bringing this issue together alongside all our contributors and considering the presence of story, things seem to move in ellipses – we set out, we return to things, and we start out anew. Sometimes things repeat, but not quite exactly. Slowly knowledge is built through time and between us all.

Featured in JAC 641:
Bennett’s Magill Pottery, The APY Blak Manta Collective, Anne Sherman, Lucile Sciallano, Barambah Pottery, the collection of Dr Michael Elliott, Judy Boydell, Lachlan MacKee, Tom Summers, Jayanto Tan, Guest Pots, Lea Durie, John Kuczwal, Abbas Akbari, Lustre, Isobel Waters, Gus Clutterbuck, Claudia De Salvo, Tracey Campbell, Grace Moseley, Woodfire WA, Laurel Billington, Beaudesert Potters, Spiral Gallery, Vale Sally Curry, Vale Michael Keighery, Vale Pete Pilven and Vale Laurens Tan
