About the Artist:
Known for her fusion of pop culture, rock'n'roll aesthetics and Buddhist philosophy, Australian artist Nell (b. 1975, Maitland, New South Wales) explores the cycles and contradictions of life through her multidisciplinary practice. Her work considers the connections between opposites - birth and death, sorrow and joy, light and dark - and often features ghosts as symbols of mystery and transformation.
