This stunning cushion cover is entirely handmade and is a piece of functional art for your space. An artwork by Rama Kaltu-Kaltu Sampson has been intricately hand chainstitched onto the cushion using hand dyed wool. Rama Kaltu-Kaltu Sampson was born in 1936 in Mt. Davies, Pipalyatjara, in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands of SA. He is an accomplished painter and traditional ngangkari - doctor and spiritual healer. His strong knowledge of tjukurpa (dreaming) has earned him much respect and his work has been exhibited extensively across Australia. As an Anangu elder, Rama has a great wealth of traditional knowledge and skills. Rama's country is Kuntjanu, and he is a custodian of the Wanampi Tjukurpa - the Rainbow Serpent Dreaming.

Better World Arts is a social enterprise that create beautiful, unique products through cross-cultural collaboration - combining Australian Aboriginal artworks with traditional Kashmiri rug-making techniques.
