Citrus juicer | Alessi | Juicy Salif

An icon of contemporary design, the Juicy Salif citrus juicer was designed by Philippe Starck for Alessi and has become one of the most recognisable objects in the history of the brand.

Starck sketched the juicer’s distinctive form on a pizzeria napkin while holidaying on the Italian coast. Its sculptural, elongated shape transforms a simple kitchen utensil into an object that sits somewhere between functional design and modern art.

Cast in aluminium and finished with a polished mirror surface, Juicy Salif is as much a design statement as it is a citrus juicer. A true design classic, it is made to be displayed rather than tucked away in a cupboard.
