Tote Bag | Goordim | Waringarri Arts | jooroongem

In an exclusive collaboration with the MCA - the Waringarri artist Cathy Ward's (Marawuk Binbirridj) artwork Goordim is printed on a jooroongem*  coloured tote bag.

This beautiful representation of Country - Goordim - is made up of Jinamoom, the Keep River that flows through the painting and is joined by small tributaries. The hills represent Dreaming - on the left is Goordim, Butterfly Dreaming. The hill in the lower left is Eaglehawk Dreaming and the hill towards the right is Goorthark - Brolga Dreaming. The rest are ant pits that scatter the Country.

* Jooroongem is the Miriwoong word for sunset. The MCA Store collaborated with Waringarri Arts to draw these colour names from Miriwoong language. The subtle pastel pink of this stunning tote bag is evocative of the sunset tones of Miriwoong country.
