Cross Currents: Focus on Contemporary Australian Art
Cross Currents: Focus on Contemporary Australian Art was the third exhibition in a series at the MCA focusing on mid-career Australian artists. Guest curator John Stringer selected works by 16 leading artists from around the country for this significant exhibition, which encompassed painting, photography, sculpture and installation. Established to profile the work of Australian artists who have developed substantial exhibiting careers of ten years or more, Cross Currents built on the success of the MCA exhibitions Meridian (2002/3) and Interesting Times (2005).
