Clutch | Cact Eye Pattern | Jeff McCann

Don't miss your chance to own a piece from Jeff McCann's brand new range CACT EYE - exclusive to the MCA Store!

The Cact Eye Pattern Clutch bag is a fabulous example of Jeff McCann's wizardry in sustainably transforming discarded materials into stunning and functional objects d'art! It made from repurposed cardboard with a hand painted design and finished with water resistant varnish.

"When I'm working with cardboard I am much more willing to experiment and play around. When I stared making the bags I wanted to make something different that no-one had seen before. I wanted to be able to live amongst my art"         Jeff McCann

Jeff McCann is a Sydney based creative who works between the visual and performing arts through a wide range of mediums including public art, events, fashion, wearables, workshops and illustration. Working with primarily sustainable and repurposed materials, McCann creates playful and tactile pieces. He enjoys the challenge of taking what is considered rubbish and transforming it something of value again.

This spring Jeff McCann hits refresh on the MCA Store Window at 140 George Street, The Rocks. The window celebrates nature and represents what might have been his garden – if he had a green thumb – and will showcase McCann’s latest collection Cact Eye (2020). Come and see his unique work for yourself!
