Bomber Jacket - Zanny Begg 'The City of Ladies'

The City of Ladies is a 20-minute non-linear film installation produced by Australian artist Zanny Begg in collaboration with Paris-based Australian film director Elise McLeod. The work was inspired by the proto-feminist novel The Book of the City of Ladies (1402), by France’s first professional female writer Christine de Pizan, which imagines a utopian city built, populated and governed by women. Their filmic installation, which was developed with a group of young Parisian feminist and activist women from a variety of cultural backgrounds, was shown at the Museum of Contemporary Art as part of The National 2017: New Australian Art.

This zip-up, silky bomber jacket design features the original art of Zanny Begg which is included in both the film and the wallpaper which form the installation.
