Necklace | Multicolour Mixed Media Chunky Felt Beads | Syrah Jay

Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Elizabeth Ann Macgregor, counts her Syrah Jay necklace as her favourite piece of jewellery after her partner gifted one to her:

These necklaces are a truly inspired piece of wearable art. Handmade by extremely talented textile and jewellery designer Syrah Jay in Scotland, who takes her inspiration from manner of sources from art, photography and architecture to the world of fashion, interior design and of course craft! Part of what makes each piece special is that they are all completely one of a kind. Each feature colourful ‘Chunky’ felt beads all made from 100% wool, embroidered by hand and finished with a selection of reclaimed/vintage buttons and beads. While the colours and materials vary piece to piece , each necklace reflects the bold colourful and textural contrasts that Syrah Jane is renowned for.
