This stunning scarf offers you the special opportunity to wrap yourself in the ethereal beauty of Australian artist Lindy Lee. Lose yourself and be at one with the moment as you envelop yourself in in this fine Australian made silk scarf. The scarf is a complete reproduction of Conflagrations from the end of time (matter as motion's form), 2011. This piece of wearable art has been created exclusively in a limited run for the MCA Store in collaboration with artist Lindy Lee to celebrate the exhibition: Moon in a Dew Drop (on display at the MCA until 28 February, 2021).
Lee’s art is an extension of her practice of Buddhist meditation. The 4.5-metre-tall hanging scrolls in Conflagrations from the end of time resemble strips of the universe: star-studded skies and meteor showers brought down to earth and imprinted on lengths of paper. In these works, which conjure with the infinite and eternal presence of the cosmos, Lindy Lee contemplates the Zen Buddhist precepts of the material and immaterial, light and darkness, and the notion of emptiness.
A wonderful gift that will be a valuable addition to any art lovers wardrobe, or display it in your home.
