Clutch Bag Unlimited Radiance 2001 - Nell x From St Xavier
The Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA), From St Xavier and Australian artist Nell, proudly present two statement clutch bags based on the artworks Sunset (2000) and Unlimited Radiance (2001) from the MCA Collection.
Marking the starting point for a unique collaboration between museum, designer and contemporary artist, the bags playfully transform two of the MCA Collection’s most popular works into colourful, wearable art.
The shimmering sunset imagery of each artwork has been translated into hundreds of luminous beads and handcrafted using traditional Indian beading and embroidery techniques - making each bag a one-of-a-kind collectable.
