Cushion cover | Betsy Lewis Napangardi | 40cm | multicoloured

Betsy Lewis Napangardi was a traditional Warlpiri woman from the Yuendumu Community region. She was born in the bush just west of Yuendumu in the 1940’s and painted at the Aboriginal Art centre Warlukurlangku until 2008. Mina Mina describes the journey of a group of women of all ages who travelled east gathering food, performing ceremonies as they travelled.

These beautiful, unique textiles are a cross-cultural collaboration combining Aboriginal designs and traditional Kashmiri rug-making techniques. Chain stitched, using hand dyed wool, each is a completely handmade piece.
