Earrings | Kunkanemkenh Pandanus by Adrienne Watson l | Injalak Arts | large

Pandanus earrings made by one of Injalak's wonderful weavers. In Aboriginal languages, necklaces, bracelets, earrings and other body adornments are usually named after the body part they are used for. An earring is known as "Kunkanemkenh", made up of "kunkanem" (ear) and "kenh" (for).

Each piece of jewellery is connected to country, with subtle variations in colour from a combination of 100% local organic dyes, which makes each an individual piece a work of art.
