Tea Towel - Afromuses Couple Man x Chris Ofili

Chris Ofili was born in Manchester, England and currently lives and works in Port of Spain, Trinidad. He has exhibited extensively, represented Britain in the 50th Venice Biennale in 2003 and won the Turner Prize in 1998.

The Afromuses Couple tea towel was produced by Melbourne-based Third Drawer Down in collaboration with the New Museum, New York, to coincide with Ofili's solo exhibition Night and Day (2014). Afromuses in its entirety presents over 181 watercolours created by the artist between 1995 and 2005. None of the works are intended as actual representations but rather figurative expressions from Ofili's personal references and impressions of memory, day-to-day life and art history.

This beautiful tea towel features a digital print of the watercolors with a customised border. Each tea towel is 100% linen, 100% functional in the kitchen but also perfect stretched on a canvas or framed as a work of art.
