Artist Information: Andrea Adamson Tiger was born in 1973 at Amata, which is located on the APY Lands of South Australia. She spent her youth living in Alice Springs and working as a tour guide at Uluru. Andrea had a deep understanding and knowledge of the traditional customs of the Anangu people of this area.
Artwork Information: Andrea's art tells us the story of the Seven Sisters and their travels through the country as they are pursued by Wati (Man) Nyiru. The sisters created the rockholes, sandhills and rocky outcrops as they tried to escape. Today, Wati Nyiru and the seven sisters can still be seen as he still chases them across the sky (the Milky Way).
